I have written many letters/emails in my time to companies about their products/service. (Yes I do like to complain.) In general I found that I get a template email and a gift voucher, but do they actually read the letters? The majority of the time the answer is no. I wrote a letter to a unnamed company saying how their product contained traces of nuts but it was not detailed on the packaging. It turns out I'm allergic to nuts, luckily a friend ate this product before me and informed me that there was nuts inside.
I wrote an extremely long letter to the company explaining the incident, about a week later I received a reply telling me that Thank you for the letter, we take pride in our product blah blah blah, a couple template pages later they said how sorry they were and enclosed was a voucher for the same product. Now its either they don't read the letters or they are trying to kill me.
Has anyone else experienced problems with Marketing Research/Customer Care?
